Friday 31st January 2014 – Annual “Menlo Park” Dance in aid of Galway Hospice Day Care

Photo [640x480]The Annual Dance for the Day Care Centre of Galway Hospice will be taking place on Friday 31st January 2014 in the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway.  The dancing starts at 9pm and tickets cost only €10. Tickets can be obtained by contacting Joe Walsh on 085 1118083 or Mary Naughton on 087 2831233. This will be the sixth year of this event which, to date, has raised a whopping total of €25,661.70 for Galway Hospice Day Care Centre.  Pictured are (l-r): Joe Walsh, Fiona McKinnon (Galway Hospice) and Mary Naughton with a cheque showing the cumulative proceeds from the annual Dances.Galway Hospice depends entirely on public support in order to continue providing Hospice Home Care and Day Care services.  This annual Dance is held (and always has been) specifically for the Day Care Centre, which currently has 50 patients attending.  Day Care provides medical, nursing and therapeutic supports for patients, but it also – very importantly – gives the carers a break.  Your support for this event would be hugely appreciated.  Galway Hospice Day Care does not get any funding from the State, so events like this are very important to keep the service running.    So, come along and enjoy a good tatter around the dance floor, while supporting Galway Hospice in the process.  Thank you!
