Celebrate the life of a loved one at the Galway Memorial Walk.
The Memorial Walk is very special and personal event, when family and friends walk together in remembrance and celebration. Many wear special t-shirts bearing the names of their loved ones.
The 2020 Galway Memorial Walk takes place on Sunday 13th September at 12noon, starting from the Claddagh Hall, along Salthill Prom to Blackrock and back.
The Memorial Walk is Galway Hospice’s biggest annual fundraising event, with all funds raised going to support services for patients and their families.
Online Registration Closed. Registration will open in late July 2020.

Yes, all participants are required to register, including those who have taken part before.

The walk is 6.5km long.
Starting from Claddagh Hall, the walk goes from Nimmo’s Pier, around South Park (the Swamp), along Salthill prom to Blackrock and then back to Claddagh Hall.
Limited parking is available at the Claddagh Hall and the GTI on Father Griffin Rd.
When registering, choose ‘Personalised T-Shirt’ and enter the name you would like printed.
However, there is a cost to Galway Hospice to print t-shirts and we ask that participants raise sponsorship to help fund our services.
To reduce Hospice costs, we ask that t-shirts are collected from the Hospice before the walk. If this is not an option, the t-shirt can be posted.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide t-shirts for children.
