Sunflower Volunteers Needed
Hospice Sunflower Days collections take place on Friday 7th June and Saturday 8th June around Galway City & County. On these days, volunteers sell items including Sunflower pins, pens, trolley tokens and teddies.
These collections raise vital funds for Hospice care. Volunteers are needed to help with these collections around Galway.
If you can spare 2 hours to volunteer for Hospice Sunflower Days, please contact Galway Hospice Fundraising on 087-1933032, 091-770868 or fundraising@galwayhospice.ie
Sunflower Day Fun for schools
Galway Hospice would love your school to get involved in our new event for Hospice Sunflower Days 2024, Sunflower Fun Day!
Taking part is easy. Pupils are asked to get involved by wearing yellow to school on any date that suits. Children and staff can be as inventive and creative as they wish, they could wear a yellow T-shirt, giant yellow glasses, or go even bigger and dress up as a sunflower! All they need to do is wear something yellow and have fun!
Ready to host a Sunflower Fun Day at your school? Here’s how:
- Register your school below or contact Galway Hospice Fundraising on 091-770868 or email fundraising@galwayhospice.ie
- Ask pupils to wear a yellow item of clothing to school on your chosen Sunflower Fun Day
- Ask families to donate €2, or whatever they can afford
You will receive a downloadable pack containing digital posters to advertise your event, digital colouring sheets and a letter to inform parents of the planned day and Sunflower Seeds for the children to have fun planting!
