Elliot Thompson cuts his hair for Galway Hospice!

Long Hair (Copy)Well done and many thanks to 13-year old Elliot Thompson who recently presented Orla Feeney of Galway Hospice with a cheque for €660 which he raised through ‘Elliot’s Big Chop!’ in aid of Galway Hospice. Elliot grew his hair for 2 years as a fundraiser for Galway Hospice.

Elliot recently got his mane cut, witnessed by many friends and family members, and he then donated his locks to the Princess Trust for wig making!  The object of the entire exercise was to raise funds for Galway Hospice.

Many thanks to Elliot for taking on such a hair-raising challenge. Gone (Copy)Elliot presented Galway Hospice with not only his proceeds raised, but also with photographs of his hairathon.

Elliot’s donation will help Galway Hospice to continue providing our fully-accredited specialist palliative care services to adults and children with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses throughout Galway city and county, and on the adjoining islands, as well as providing support to their families and carers. As always, hospice services continue to be provided free-of-charge, for as long as they are needed.  Many thanks Ellio, and well done!
