Coláiste na nOileán raises €1400 for Galway Hospice

Many thanks to Coláiste na nOileán who recently raised €1400 for Galway Hospice in conjunction with the Beofest Festival. Pictured is Michael O’Domhnall from Coláiste na nOileán presenting the proceeds to Emer Molloy of Galway Hospice.

Míle buíochas do Mícheál agus do ghach éinne I gColáiste na nOileán as ucht an tacaíocht íontach seo d’Oispís na Gaillimhe.

Events like this are hugely important to Galway Hospice.  Apart from our Inpatient and Day Care services, this week we are caring for 136 patients in their own homes, patients who might otherwise have to be in hospitals or nursing homes.  The vast majority of these patients want to be cared for at home, if there is a choice available.  Hospice not alone provides that choice, but provides a comprehensive level of quality care in the home. The funding received from this event helps to make that possible.
